Hi there.  My name is Baylee Rebekah Gibbs and I am very crazy about two things: Moes Southwest Grill and sports!  I couldn't do life without either. Most people haven't heard of the small town I claim home so, when asked I say, "45 minutes North of Birmingham."  Usually they respond with "oh okay," but I know they really have no idea what I'm talking about.  So where exactly am I from?  I am from Oneonta, Alabama!  I claim Oneonta as my home; although, I actually live in the much smaller town of Blountsville. I currently attend Auburn University where I am an Early Childhood Education Major.  I decided to pursue my love for children and sports!  I hope to become an empowering educator and an inspiring coach one day.

Life.   I am a lover of life.  I love to laugh, eat Mexican food, go on road trips and spontaneous adventures, be with friends, splurge on anything sweet, shop, NBA games, all things furry and all things children!  This somewhat sums up my life in a sentence.  Over my short lived life, I've learned to always make time for what makes you happy.  College has pushed me to limits I didn't know existed, but through the three f's (faith, friends, fun) I've managed to somehow survive this crazy experience.

 

I have now been accepted into the Early Childhood program at Auburn.  Prior to being accepted, I have completed twenty-five service learning hours at Richland Elementary. I served as a PE assistant throughout my time at Richland.  After my experience at Richland, I can't imagine what this semester would have been like without those short twenty-five hours. To say I am excited for this journey is an understatement.  I look forward to completing the program and having a classroom full of little ones very soon.
